Palace fans Hastings

A Palace mate of mine is looking to move south to the Hastings area in the not too distant future and was wondering what the “Palace population” is like there. I haven’t been there for a fair while but I do remember there being a decent number of us that way, does anybody local know what it’s like there now?

At a recent Folkestone Invicta match (Isthmian Premier) I spotted 5 separate people wearing Palace gear out of a crowd of just shy of 800! It was the day we had beaten Spurs in the early kick off. I would imagine Hastings would be similar

There are quite a few of us down here, the train that we get to go to home games normally has up to 20 Palace supporters on it and that is only one train.

Was working in the Eastbourne area a short while back and the number of Palace fans there, was loads!

I live in hastings and tend to drive to games, so cant comment on the train situ. Always nice to see some more red and blue down here. COYP

I spent most of my senior school years in Hastings in the late 80s/early 90s, and only ever knew of one other Palace fan at the school...and that was in the Wright/Bright glory days. So I suspect fans now living there will be a result of migration (as I was) rather than born and bred.

Think there’s been a fair old exodus from the South London/Croydon areas to Sussex the last 30 years or so hence there seems to be large numbers of Palace in a lot of areas in the county, especially the coast.
