Brave man. If he succeeds his credentials will rise significantly. If he fails then he is unlikely to find another Prem. League job unless he first drops down to the Championship and achieves success there.

Mind you I am not sure how you would define "success" at Everton. Initially, I guess, a top ten finish.

I hope he fails.
I am sure he is a nice man but unlike Gerrard and Rooney he just seems to want high profile Premier League jobs only.
One solitary year at Derby doesn't cut it for me - plus I detest Everton!

the number of clubs never relegated from the top flight is tiny.

when Villa went down, it was very significant. I would love to see Everton go down just for this reason.

The Championship is the great leveller ( of pride in complacent Fans )
