More likely to be the same rumour being recycled and not sure why he would reject a contract at Spurs in favour of coming to managerless Palace anyway

Too old and would likely be another flop. Most likely he’s been told he’s due to be axed by Spurs but has been given a few weeks ‘grace’ to sort a new club under the pretence he’s still in demand.

I like Moura, think he's a good player and for all the world seems a good fella. Having him as an option seems exciting but it's very much on paper for me and may not reflect the reality:
30 y/o - A bit old for a winger and does not fit with our recent 'get em young' policy.
Not played consistently for a while - may not be used to, up for it and perhaps there is a reason for this.
Wages - not too long ago he virtually singlehandedly fired Spuds to the CL final! Brazilian int'l, formerly of PSG and Spurs, 90k a week purportedly and may not come cheap.
So all in all I would love to see him as a Palace player but do I think he represents good business, a consistent first team purchase, value for money, investment in the future or a reliable replacement for an inevitably departing Wilf? No, unfortunately.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I saw one of the articles yesterday.
All it said was that Palace were monitoring circumstances around some free agents.
Given that Moura is a free agent, that's the only link I can see at present. No concrete interest at all

Initially i was quite excited at this rumour but I don't think it will be a good one. One of questions you have to ask is he going to get better if he signs for us compared to his previous club? With defenders they often improve with age so signing a 30year old is not necessarily a bad move. Strikers though are usually started to drop off performance wise primarily as their speed decreases.
For this reason and the likely hood of tying up a large amount in wages it is a no.
I think when you look at how much younger signings like Olise and Guehi have improved in their time with us that this is the way forward.

I suppose if we shipped out Mateta, would Moura be a better option ?
Maybe won't have the physical presence but should be better technically.

On reasonable wages, I'd be ok with picking him up on a 2 year deal.
Especially if it means that we free up some transfer money for Gyokeres.
We need a blend of youth and experience, and whilst he wont have any sell on fee, we wont need to buy him.

Another rumour, which could happen simply because Moura is a free agent and the media link club with limited funds to free transfers.
Shouldn’t have thought he would be of much interest to Palace, but he is on the loose so who knows.

Even if we did resign Wilf, I still think the squad is short of a winger. If Zaha or Olise pick up an injury, Ayew plays by default. There isn't another convincing option... Schlupp?
Signing Moura on a relatively short deal would allow for Rak-Sakyi to do a year in the Championship.

Moura has had an injury hit season but he is pure class - perfect temp replacement for Wilf, he's not going top 6, Wolves and Newcastle are interested, we could get him - and we should imho.

I like him, always looks lively, considering how ordinary spurs can look I’m surprised he wasn’t first choice. Even when we beat them 3-0 at selhurst, he looked the only one who was interested and was their only threat
