I was there in May 1979 and again in May 1983 when we had to beat Burnley to avoid relegation to the Third Division in those dark days of the early Eighties. I think about 15,000 cheered an Ian Edwards goal which ensured safety. Optimistic today of a win of any kind which will see Oliver's Army on their way!

Not a dig at Roy, certainly not intended to be anyway, but as a statement of fact I haven’t looked forward to a Palace game this much for a while. I’m absolutely buzzing for this and hope my anticipation of the feeling of a new dawn is matched by the atmosphere today! Be great to see everybody on the same page again and that collective, cohesive feeling of not too long ago. COYP!!!!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978 |

Absolutely spot on, and I bet thousands more of us feel the same. The real test might be Spurs game, but I'm really looking forward to next season. Many forget that most of the really successful managers actually took quite some time to bed down before the fruits of their labours materialised. I'll be in my bunker on the South coast, watching on dodgy stream with even dodgier home made wine and packet of Werthers Originals. Originally posted by Nicholas91

Fingers crossed. On paper, Glasner looks good. Let's hope it looks good on the pitch and the scoreboard too.
