Crystal Palace have sent a proposal to Corinthians for striker Wesley.

The proposal is €18 million

Just seen the above. According to transfer market transfer he is primarily a left-sided winger. 19 years of old from Brazil.

I don’t know the source or player so no real insight from me. However, we do need forwards and with Franca this is a market we have sourced from before.

Don't know the name but a certain east London outfit were looking at him in May.

If there is any truth in this, I wonder if this means JRS is on the way out?

Was just watching the Youtube of his highlights, he is very talented , with a very quick burst of acceleration and built like a brick s*** house , I'd be very surprised if we get him . Im gonna say it " way better than Olise" and a lot of clubs after him .

I've had a look at YouTube too, and I agree with your observations. Great potential and a kind of younger version of Sarr? I don't see him as another Olise tho. Olise makes chances as well as scoring them?

Didn't we sign a young Brazilian forward about a year ago, or did I dream that?

We did, and look how that went.
I hope Glasner can turn Franca around.

This boy is good. It would be a great signing.

He's an excellent player. Very good close control, quick feet and uses his body exceptionally well to dummy direction. Olise gone for 50mill, Sarr in for 12.5mill and Wesley, say 18mill would be two good replacements and a 20mill profit!

Don't forget Riad @ £12.6m so that £7.4m profit.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Any sign on for Kamada?

And also don't forget the money that had to be paid to Reading out of the Olisé transfer fee.

I thought that was separate from what Palace actually got, rumoured to be £8m for Reading. Again, I'll stand corrected.

I meant it was a one out two in for the position, and had forgotten Kamada

Don't forget:
1. What we paid for Olise
2. What portion of what we received had to go to Reading

You might also want to add:
3. What Olise's wages were whilst he was with us.

The profit on a player sold is never anything like what people like to think it is.

I don't know TBH. On my local news, which covers Reading FC, they said RFC were "believed to be entitled to 10% of the profit...if true, this could be a windfall of over £4million.

If correct, that seems to agree with: 10% of (£50m - £8m) = £4.2m.

But then 10% of (£58m - £8m) = £5m, so that could be right too!

However, £8m to Reading does appear to be too high.

But as with all these things, fans aren rarely given the precise details.

True, but clearly he's talking about a current-year trading profit and not some form of 'value measure' over a player's contract.
