This is really trivial (sorry), but I find it slightly irritating that the picture of Chamakh on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamakh) is of him playing in an Arsenal shirt. Especially as their fans maligned him so much and how hard he's worked at Palace. I know on Wikipedia a person can go in and edit certain articles, but obviously I can't just go in and use a photograph belonging to somebody else to replace it. Does anyone know how we can get this changed? As I say, I know this is a really unimportant post but 'Palace Talk' was where it seemed to belong...

This is quite common and wiki does rely on people to update pages as and when required. DD's wiki shows him still in an Ipswich top, and he's been here for over 2 years now. Im sure there's other players out there with the same.

well this is clearly a job for 'us' if there are usable pictures to upload for all our esteemed players, I have never attempted to change anything on Wikipedia, I have a feeling it could be beyond my skills but will have a look and maybe take my camera to the next match.....mmm....unless someone else feels they could.

I have never changed a photo, but changing text is fairly easy to do (although they do track your IP for anyone posting spurious false comments!). Your idea sounds a good one. Wikipedia does allow an author of a photo to have their name published below it so I would've thought local rag (e.g.: Croydon addy) photographers might have had some interest in getting the Palace players' photos up to date on there with their own snap. Would be quite cool for the fans to get every player's photo up to date though

They had an interesting player who, it seems netted 38 goals in 12 appearances, whilst on loan to Barcelona....

Isn't there a photo of Chamakh on the CPFC site you could use? It's not like they're going to berate you for doing their marketing job for them! Edited by Jenny Taylier (29 Jan 2014 1.13pm)

I was going to give it a try but I can't do it as my Wiki account has not edited 10 articles, anyone on here edit wiki's? Here is a very easy tutorial on how to do it.
