I work for the AA and people are forever coming over and asking about this car and that and how it compares to other cars, fuel consumption, acceleration timing, boot space, best car in Europe this year, best older models, parts monitoring, general garaging, mechanical inceptions and conformity, colour ranging and swatch matching. Go away I say, I'm on me hols.

Not a thread I ever thought i'd be starting but heres the back story- i've just returned home from four peaceful, classy and relaxing days on a stag do in sunny Magaluf. On the first night, I spotted Leon Osman (Mr Everton) who was also on a stag do with some hard looking blokes and I did what any young, respectful and paraletic man would do and went over and asked him every question under the sun about Palace. Here are my hazy recollections on my questions and his answers; *Why is Joel Ward not going to the world cup? Leon says: Joel Ward has done incredibly well this year and is solid but isn't international standard and 'probably never will be'. (I was fuming, obviously). *What do you think of Dwight Gayle? Leon says: 'He's an absolute terror' and something about his finishes in the Liverpool game being decent. *Will Speroni sign a new contract? Leon says: 'Didn't realise his contract was up but he's definitely one of the best keepers in the prem'. *Did you think Palace would be relegated? Leon says: 'You boys looked comfortable and the result at our place was a turning point'. He then went on to praise the board saying something along the lines of 'you look pretty secure with sensible blokes in charge'. He also had praise for Jedinak and was generally pretty cherpy and actually seemed quite interested just to talk football. Got to give him credit for handling the situation well because I was steaming, made me wonder how much a part of a pro footballers job it is just to talk to random idiots when they approach you which must happen all the time. Generally an all round decent bloke and had lots of good things to say about us. Also saw Michael Carrick at the airport on the way home and if I wasn't such a broken man by this point I may have picked up my microphone and interviewed him aswell. Also saw a million girls from geordie shore and the only way is essex but that's a story for a different day.
And Glen Johnson is international standard?
o.O

I assume you normally answer Caprice, Claudia Schiffer or Cindy Crawford? Even Kate Moss is getting on a bit now.

Was Osman wearing his Everton strip on the beach then? Sorry, I didn't realise.
