If I wanted to change a large amount of Sterling into Euros but don't necessarily have to do it now, do you think it's at a good rate now or do you think it will continue tanking? therefore wait....? Perhaps see how the Greece situation develops ? Could it go to 1.5 or even higher?

I don't really see it getting significantly stronger in the coming months, barring some kind of UK disaster.

If Greece plays ball in the next 48 hours it'll go back down, if they don't it'll go up more I think.

The Euro will collapse entirely along with the EU itself eventually. A full-blown financial implosion in Europe has become inevitable. Greece, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Belgium are all drowning in an ocean of unsustainable debt. Meanwhile, Germany and the few other 'healthy' members of the EU continue to try to keep all of the balls in the air by bailing everyone out. Can Germany keep bailing the rest of the EU out indefinitely? Are the German people going to continue to be willing to hand out gigantic sacks of cash to fix the problems of other EU nations? Roll on the referendum when we will have a chance of escaping from the whirlpool.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

This is always useful if you don't want to use a currency card.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Hedge your bets, exchange half now and sit and wait on the rest, Personally think the Greece effect will increase the Euro further but unless you are talking serious money a few Euros here and there make little difference.

I'd surely buy now! The arrogance of some of the posters here is unbelievable!! Confident fine, wanting to get out of the eurozone fine too, but hey: look at the Norway deal: you'll have to pay for free trade agreements without having a say at all and doubt thats better for GB at this stage.
