The fact that they was so close all season makes it so much funnier.All they had to do was score three more or concede three less in a whole season and they would have been up.Brilliant.

Firstly I am amused it has happened as they are a rival. Secondly Palace have done pretty well out of the playoffs. However, you are bang right. The playoffs are a cruel system and if I was to comment without bias, the team that finishes 3rd in the league should be promoted if 3 are going up. We all know why it happens though.

They've gambled a bit haven't they. Not too many transfer fees this season but high wages for players like Sidwell and Zamora. Hope they go Wigan's way
