The rise of the half and half scarf

Was a time long ago when these items were only made for special matches. Now there an ever present thing with them being sold for every game. Can't see the attraction of say a Watford/Bournemouth scarf but fans collect programmes so why not scarves, even though some fans have a deep hatred of them. Anyone building up a collection?

half & half scarves are an aberration. Sporting favours date from jousting, and should be used to show support. A specified event - perhaps cup final - scarf is just about acceptable, but non club salespeople catering for the occasional attendee does not add to match day for me. There is also a need for careful use of our earth's resources - the same scarf used for ten years seems right. COYP

So what? Its another form of merchandising. You don't like them? Don't buy one. They will probably be out of fashion in a season or two. Blimey who remembers rattles!!

I brought one at the semi final of the facup and the final. Didn't wear them but they are hung in my son's bedroom. It's a momento from the day not a fashion item..I would only buy one from a significant game e.g. a.final Edited by Michaelawt85 (02 Oct 2016 7.12pm)

The event is as important as the clubs playing.
