Best atmosphere for me is holmesdale lower. Really feel in the thick of the noise and singing rather than feeling like your on the fringes of it. All comes down to personal preference and I am sure there are plenty who will disagree with me
When I was a young girl my Mother said to me.. You listen here kid you're CPFC |

Unfortunately we give the loudest part of the ground to the away team. Why we can't put them in the Whitehorse is beyond me. The family section in the Arthur would also help a little with our own noise levels.

Because giving the whole of one end, behind a goal, to away supporters gives them a huge advantage; why do you think the noisiest home support gathers behind one of the goals? The ideal place for away support is tucked away in a far corner, as distant from the pitch as possible, where (as Holden Caulfield would have it) their support will sound 'scrawny and faggy'.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Actually, I was in the front row of the main stand for the Cardiff League Cup semi final and there was a lot of noise behind me when the Crystals came out. In fact, I got a 90 minute commentary of what the chaps behind me wanted to do to the Crystals. They may have briefly stopped to celebrate the goal.

Been saying it for ages put the away fans in the part of the stadium that has least affect on the match. Right now that's the Sainsbury's end of the main stand.

Give them blocks that aren't even joined. Ok, that doesn't work when you have to have sterile areas. Still, worth it for comedy value when they are only sat in packs of about 500 spread randomly around the stadium.

Lets go 80's style and have them back in a cage almost, opposite end to that currently used, smack bang next to the holmesdale lower where they used to be.....

Surely they are where they are because of the proximity to their coaches? Less opportunity for disruption if they are shepherded from transport straight into the ground. It works most weeks although local derbies are more of a problem.
