I see in the betting Andy Murray is 1/7 in other words, he's won it Can't understand this. OK, he's probably at his peak right now, world No.1, won Wimbledon again, so he's had a brilliant year but you could argue, without running down his acheivement, that Nadal has been off the scene and Federer is an ever fading force, he's kind of filled that vaccuum. Apart from Djokovic is the Mens top 10 very strong? doesn't appear to be. But He's already won SPOTY twice before and for me, Mo Farah winning the long distance double at the Olympics doubling up from London and the World championships is surely more worthy of the prize

Andy Murray winning any prize that has the word 'Personality' in it is an oxymoron anyway.

Alan Pardew - Living off THAT goal at the semi-final at Villa, and fumes of an FA Final and a great first 12 months... Surely only in a job on the basis of the sheer force of his personality.

Federer filled a void, Sampras filled a void as did Becker etc Murray has been excellent but I am not sure he should win SPOTY again. There are some great contenders like the Kenny's or Brownlee. Farah? I cannot warm to him and there are for question marks over him

Glenn has had a pretty good season, but they never give it to players who don't have a platinum gilded PR record and massive sponsorship deals. Everyone knows football is only about the big clubs and has only existed since those clubs allowed everyone else to play in their Carling Premier League.

Don't know who is in the running but I'd vote for Laura Trott (Kenny). Her and cycling mates were unbeatable and they had hairy beavers as it helped prevent saddle sores!

Other than that Federer and Nadal have both been in the top 10 this year, they've just been injured for the latter part of it. Nishikori, Berdych & Raonic has got to the final of a slam, Wawrinka has won 3 slams, Cilic has won the US Open. I feel sorry for Mo as Murray has won both a slam and the gold medal in both the years he's done the Olympic double.
