35 points will easily be enough this year to stay up. If you work out all the permutations, the fact that all of the bottom six have games against each (i think Hull and Middlesbro play at least 3 of the teams in the bottom six - therefore one team may not get any points) plus all the teams have at least 2 games against the top six teams (some have 3 games) so if it goes to form, there should be no points there. Yes 35 points should be enough, i would be amazed if more is needed

This is correct. For every point earned by Palace or every point dropped by Boro, that MN comes down by 1.

We do have to be above three teams, though, so the MNs for Hull and Sunderland are 32 and 34 respectively.
