What would be regarded as progress and acceptable for de Boers new playing style. Looking at the fixtures, I would be happy with 9 points.

Huddersfield, Swansea, Burnley and Southampton in there. I think 7 points would be alright.

3pts Home to Huddersfield Now, we're easily capable of getting a point or three at Liverpool, losing to the Swans at home (a lot depends on whether they still have Sigurdsson) and beating Burnley away. Over the season we need a point a game - plus 2 - to make 40 points, so I think 8 points is not a bad return from this stretch. However, considering that immediately after we play Man Utd away, Chelsea at home, Newcastle away, West Ham at home and Spurs away, we're unlikely to move the needle much thereafter. It behooves us to try to get to double-figures from the first 6 games.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

We did okay against some of those teams last season. "Houston - we don't have a problem." Edited by Mr. Talons (27 Jul 2017 7.45pm)
