I thought he was one of only two players today to come out of the game with any credit (the other one was Loftus-Cheek who is going to be an amazing player in the future) but i think Fosu-Mensah also has a great future. I was surprised he was played so early after only having a couple of training sessions, but he did well. Maybe if we can sign a real leader to play alongside him, someone like Sakho hopefully, then he will thrive this season

Having a 19-y-o and a 20-y-o either side of Scott Dann is a recipe for disaster

Agree. I thought Fosu-Mensah was the tits today. Easily our best defender, and that tackle after Dann cocked up was great. Arguably our best player after Loftus-Cheek. Man Utd are very lucky with a player that young, yet so tactically aware. Why can't we ever produce a player like that? Edited by Dan1994 (12 Aug 2017 11.59pm)

I found it almost comical watching Dann plodding back to try atone for his mistake and see TFM flying past him to save his bacon. You cant play a high line with Dann an oil tanker turns faster

The main thing that got me was how quick he was. Christ almighty I don't think I've ever seen a CB move like that.

Bollocks! In that line of thinking Ward must be 16? The guy is class it is so easy to see. A class or 2 above Riedewald too I think. Originally posted by Bangell

They did not "produce" him, they robbed him from Ajax!! Originally posted by Dan1994

I thought he was excellent. In a four man defence he'd be even better.

Well he is nowhere near as good as Luca either..... He may come good, but I was not surprised to see what I saw yesterday. The guy basically barely ever has played under pressure. Originally posted by CPFC/SCCC
