So we could purchase Sakho for 30 million and get Lucas Perez from Arsenal on a season long loan. Or we could spend 24 million on Mangala a proven flop and 10 million on Niasse who looked okay in a poor Hull side. Now I might not be a football expert but even I can see the Sakho and Perez option is far superior and cheaper than the Mangala/Niasse option. So why can't Parish and the board. If Pulis ends up getting Sakho it will be a disaster.

Only 2 loans from PL clubs allowed. I'd be careful before you go tossing accusations of stupidity around.

From the BBC transfer update - sorry - didn't really know where to post it Eagles in trouble if Benteke gets injured
Terence Ford, founder of RedNBlueArmy.co.uk: With one fit striker, one centre-back that can pass as Frank de Boer requires and only two goalkeepers on the books, it is clear where Palace need to strengthen before the window closes. After his heroic efforts on loan last season, Mamadou Sakho would be welcomed back at Selhurst Park, but with the Palace board taking on the role of sole torch holders of financial fair play rules, Liverpool’s £30m price tag will need to reduce. Reports suggest that Palace may turn their interests to Mangala at Man City (£23m), but this feels like a scare tactic to make Liverpool lower their asking price. If Christian Benteke picks up an injury, then the Eagles are in big trouble. The problem is, who will sign for the Eagles knowing they will play second fiddle to the big Belgian? Janssen (Spurs), Tosun (Besiktas) and Niasse (Everton) have all been linked. Between the sticks, Wayne Hennessey is now two seasons past his sell by date per most Palace fans and a ball playing goalkeeper is desperately needed to aid de Boer’s struggling playing style revolution - sorry, I mean evolution. Jeroen Zoet of PSV has been consistently linked with a move to South London, but the internet suggests he is as error prone as the Welshman he would replace. Adrian Our activity in this window will be the difference between relegation and survival. I am more hopeful than confident that we will do what is needed.

Well because the Board along with Dougie won't do their jobs and sell some our crap to bring in new talent. Joel Ward can't play RWB knew that after Hong Kong yet nothing was DONE and that's just one example of capitulation on the part of the Board. Mr Nasty,

The board have done ok so far, even if we go down it will have been our most successful period in the clubs history. Not bad when they are all stupid. None of us will ever know if the transfer targets stalled due to lack of funds or for another reason. We also wont know if a player is rubbish for us or not until they have played for us, hopefully in their correct position.
