Alright guys - going up Saturday morning for Burnley game and having a night out up there - anyone been drinking there before ? All looks pretty grim and not much there ...and recommendations are welcome (part from bullet proof vest)

If you're going up there for a night out the one thing you don't want to do is confuse them with Blackburn! Edited by AmericanEagle (08 Sep 2017 6.46pm)

Blimey a night out in Burnley??... Problem you have is it's a grim town surrounded by other grim towns...Nearest proper night out is probably Blackpool or Wigan... Both are a good hour away though. I'm sure they have there pubs and clubs but just have your wits about you... It's the type of place where I don't think they're to fond of foreign (London) accents.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Similar scenario here except that I'm stopping in Preston, anyone know what that is like? A mate of mine is staying in Burnley so we were tempted to meet halfway in Blackburn if anyone knows what that's like?

Stayed over after the match last season and to be honest it was a bit grim. A few Wetherspoon pubs, they were pedestrianising the high street and we visited most of the pubs and ended up at the Talbot, a bit of a rockers pub.
