Puncheon has been in steady decline since United equalised in the 2016 FA Cup Final and he now looks complete toilet. I think he's past it. Edited by chateauferret (30 Sep 2017 8.47pm)

He had a little uptick when he was first made captain which gave me hope, I love the guy, have a lot of time for him but unfortunately he just can't play anymore, give him a backroom job out the way somewhere where he can't do any damage.

I can't see how being captain helps him perform. His performance would improve without that responsibility holding him back.

Well said, Punch Drunk should have been dropped 18 months ago. How can you play centre mid and not score a Prem goal for over 20 months

Not sure when he was made captain but our recent record would suggest that his influence in that role is negligible at best! If you watch the footage from Saturday for their 4th goal you can see him doing his trademark pointing when Lukaku is going into the box to score, yet he was personally responsible for two or three of the goals by failing to track players.
