Apologies if a duplicate post but couldn't see one specifically on this. With PVA being a liability at present and mcarthur not fully fit (as well as having been sub standard against Newcastle), I'd go with: Speroni Ward Sako Dann Schlupp Cabaye Mili Townsend Loftus-Cheek Zaha Sakho Mccarthur on for Loftus at some point, Riedewald as backup for LB/CB/DM, Fosu-Mensah as backup for Ward or maybe to start ahead. Undecided. Rest of bench: Hennessey, Kelly, Tomkins, PVA Thoughts?

Pretty much the team I'd pick, though I hear RLC didn't play that well on Tuesday, he is still dangerous enough to prevent West ham from overcommitting. Agree with that team. Not ideal but we were seriously lacking a man in the middle against Newcastle and whilst Sako isn't a striker, the one thing you can count on him doing when anywhere near the opposition area is taking a shot, with some accuracy as well. Hopefully the 90mins against Bristol have benefited him for Saturday.

Agree with that team.

Not ideal but we were seriously lacking a man in the middle against Newcastle and whilst Sako isn't a striker, the one thing you can count on him doing when anywhere near the opposition area is taking a shot, with some accuracy as well. Hopefully the 90mins against Bristol have benefited him for Saturday.

Why on earth would play Bakary as a centre half and Mamadou is good on the ball but I would never have him up front

Just trying to mix things up a bit... nice to have a target man with some height and an eye for a through ball cf. Chelsea game, plus a centre half with a powerful left foot...

I would drop Ward as well but TFM has not been that great he is another has pace but not much else.

This shows how poor the squad really is and none of the players that started mid week really deserve a place

I prefer Tomkins over Dann he looks better with Sakho the partnership last season looked good with them two for the handful of games they had together.

Speroni Ward Dann Sakho PvA Luka Cabaye Wilf RLC Townsend Sako I don't see Schlupp as being much better than PvA and I think Patrick needs to get back on the horse quickly and prove his worth (although he has to stop marking the biggest players on set-pieces. I also think RLC drifting between midfield and attack to form a second striker could work well. Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same team as at Newcastle but with RLC replacing the injured McArthur.

I don't see Schlupp as being much better than PvA and I think Patrick needs to get back on the horse quickly and prove his worth (although he has to stop marking the biggest players on set-pieces. I also think RLC drifting between midfield and attack to form a second striker could work well. Having said all that, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same team as at Newcastle but with RLC replacing the injured McArthur.

I hope we play with a very advanced offside trap like v chelsea, minimising how often whoever is at the back is up against a winger near our box. it's not without risk but it is good fun and I'm just bored of us sucking it up at Selhurst. With that in mind, I quite like both PVA and Schlupp, who bring a great deal of energy and pace. We will need a little luck to win. let's just hope we get it. If Jimmy Mac is fit then I reckon RH will go with the exact same team as against Newcastle and Chelsea. If Jimmy mac injured then a straight swap for RLC. I am no fan of PVA but Schlupp is not much better at left back. If he perform to the same level as against Newcastle and get a small bit of luck then we should win. At least we look like a team who have turned a corner, West Ham are very poor.

Do you really think spurs gave a rats arse about that game on Wednesday, There was zero effort from Spurs for the whole game, players flicking the ball about in midfield like it was a training session.

Our game against Bristol City means nothing and either does Spurs v West ham. We are back to the league now and I really believe we are a much better side than West Ham.

I was at the game on Tuesday, whilst Sako was one of the positives, felt he was spending a lot of time out on the left wing, did well there, putting in some searching crosses to nobody. So didn't look a natural centre forward. However with Wilf and Andros on the wings he might stay where he is meant to play
