Now is the time to play to our strengths of passing and moving with no target man. Neither Man City nor Liverpool lump balls up to a lone striker and neither should we.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

100% agree , ayew is perfect to how we play, all the players you listed are great on the ball too, it’s just finding the formation. I would go 4 3 3 myself. Ayew with wilf left andros right. With a midfield of Meyer, kouyate and mcarther. The good thing about the players in that formation is that the whole starting 10 are a threat going forward and can defend.

I also 100% agree. Good to have a target man in the squad to maybe come off the bench and mix things up if not working but I feel it's outdated and does not play to our strengths. COYP Edited by Tom-the-eagle (08 Sep 2018 9.55am)

Yep agree. A target man to change things from the bench.

or even start without Ayew and play with Wilf and Townsend upfront. It seems clear to may of us time has come to bench Benteke. Originally posted by Rogers Don

But stubborn as he may be, even Roy H. can not play Schlupp and bench MMeyer anymore. Add Ayew and Koyuate as well and we should be back to winning ways.....

Surely, Roy observed the significant shortcomings in our last game and he'll set out to rectify them at Huddersfield. Didn't Benteke withdraw from the Belgium game because of injury? ... so he could be forced into tactical changes anyway.

One of our best performances last season was obviously home to Chelski once benteke was out injured, with Wilf and Townsend up front together.

The thing with Wilf and Andros as false forwards is it has a short shelf life at home compared to away.
