Hi I assume you are looking for a day out at the races? Brighton do a good meal and entry ticket very reasonable price and great view of the racing. Afterwards walk down into town and enjoy the pubs and clubs around the lanes. I did this a couple of months ago. Train ticket was about £15 return from London Bridge. Good day out. Other venues, Lingfield, Sandown spring to mind. Enjoy your day.

In that case I would recommend York. It is the best racecourse in the country fantastic views and not to crowded. It has the added benefit of being an interesting place to visit lots of stuff to see and plenty of great pubs.

There is a hotel at the racecourse in Doncaster. And they race year-round.
