I think this would be good for Ryan himself to get regular football. I believe he's over 21? If so it would free up a place in the first team squad and reduce the wages bill a little?

The article says he is 25 - also given the amount of time that he has been out on loan I am surprised that he is still on contract with us.

Do actually wish him the best of luck but have always been baffled at how he's managed to nick a living off Palace for so long?

Good luck to him. He's had his fair share of challenges and issues some of his own making and some through circumstance. Hope he can stay on the right path and forge a decent career for himself (and earn himself a move away from Charlton asap). Edited by samprior (13 Oct 2020 6.33pm)

According to Mark Bright he could head the ball further than anyone else at the club, often taking pleasure in heading the ball from his own penalty box into the other half. A big player physically but in the few opportunities he got with us he never managed to stand out. At 25 it was time to go. Charlton: The new home for players that couldn't make it at Palace.
