I still don't understand why Bamford needed to point, the other Leeds players should know from the training ground where he needs the ball.A schoolboy error and one that Bielsa should have ironed out by now.

Bamford can Point if he want's to. Many strikers do this to let their teammates where they want to ball. Should never have been offside. I quite like The way he regurgitated Hodgsons words after the game "last time I looked you cant score a goal with your hand"
"It was a Team effort, I guess it took all players working together to lose this one" |

Pretty certain that the majority of managers would completely disagree with you and want their players to communicate and show where they want the ball. Absurd that it was given offside, not that a player was showing where he wanted it.

It was offside as per the Law. It wasn't. The FA website states: The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered.

Due to the fact that you can now play the ball with the top part of your arm (T-Shirt line) and not be adjudged handball, the outstretched arm played him offside. This was onside last season to the armpit.

From what I have read, it’s gone back to, you can score with the shoulder and upper arm and I think it’s the ‘T’ shirt description that defines which bit you can score with. So on that basis the VAR line would have been drawn from about halfway down his bicep.

Shocking decision. The line drawn in the tv looked way further down than the t-shirt line. Regardless it was given a goal on field and was so marginal it should have stood. Just because we benefited it’s still a crap decision and the sooner we get rid of this farce the better. If you have to spend minutes agonising over lines on a screen then just stick with the referees decision on field.

To me, if you look at a replay in slow motion and it's still not obvious that they're offside, then the attacking team get the benefit of the doubt. Freeze framing and using computer technology to draw various lines attached to various parts of players bodies isn't adding any value to anyone involved with the game.
