Terrific news but I'm slightly surprised given how infrequently he plays.

Good news. He is the only CM to score from open play this season which helps the ream a lot.

In Holland 2019 figures, average annual salary for Eredivision was €200k per annum. Would assume Jairo on £2m at present. Glad he's signed as think he's an incredible talent and is a team player.

I too think he is a fantastic talent - so comfortable on the ball, surprisingly athletic, good vision and tackles well. Palace - presumably Roy - must think he is really worth investing in and I just hope we see him featuring more regularly. He really adds something different to the team and seems to have a great attitude having waited a long time for his chances.

Great news. Agreed he’s not the finished article but I think he’s a good intelligent player. Good deal.

Start of good things for him and hopefully others signing up soon.

Perfectly good player for us. Versatile, has composure in abundance, passes and moves and dictates the next pass if possible.

Totally different league to what he played for 5/6 years old so obviously needed time to adjust.

Training is one thing but premier league games are just unique compared to everything else out there.

Super happy to see this guy progress.

Did they look at his weight and attitude when they ofdwred him a new contract?

As good as he may be with the ball at hia fwet, I cannot understand how such a player was transferred by Palace for so much mkney from Feyenoord.

He really doesn't have a great future in football, he looked like he was chocking after 10 minutes and barely runs.

has been shocking since he signed his new contract.

Games seem to pass him by and he barely contributes.

He was shocking against Chelsea and for someone who came through the Ajax academy his touch and passing is pretty average too - 1st half smash into the Arthur with his left foot when ball was on his right summed him up.

Previously v Spurs and Everton goals were scored when he turned his back when trying to block shots - can't believe he turned his bottom half as this halved his 'size' - technically very poor. Don't think it would have made a difference v Spurs but he could have blocked the Everton goal.

Not the only one struggling but he needs to improve ASAP

It is strange about his form recently, has definitely lost some sparkle.

Only at the start of this thread, just a couple of months ago, folk were crying out for him to be on the pitch. I was one of them.

It's one of the reasons I was asking 'What's gone wrong?' It looks to me like a general malaise throughout the club. Hope it's me who's wrong!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
