This is really worth a watch. Great insight into his Palace days, great stories and a real character. His son is the Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on loan at Swansea. The "undr the Cosh" Podcasts are a very good watch/listen. Plenty of Palace related ones. Search up the podcast ‘under the Cosh’ he was on a few weeks ago and had lots of stories about his time at palace. Good friends with Southgate as they came through here together. A funny guy.

He was coach when Pardew was our manager.
I think many years ago, Woodman used to run a soccer school in Warlingham.

He did make a great number of appearances for Northampton as well as Oxford Utd.

Good luck to him at Bromley, but I can’t believe they’ve sacked the popular Neil Smith to be honest only to replace him with Woodman

my god, in my head he was the youthful, tall, lean GK with a mop of blonde hair. I remember him being around a few soccer schools when I was younger and it was pretty inspiring to have a first team squad player about. Obviously I was oblivious to his lack of ability. Remember when Martyn got a red for chopping someone down outside of the box? Not sure if that would have been Woodman or Suckling coming on. Just sparked a memory.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

I don't remember him for Palace, but he spent a number of years at Northampton.
