Fabrizio is saying that we, as well as Burnley and Brentford, have submitted a bid for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke

He's a Leeds academy graduate, left winger, 9 goals and 11 assists in the Championship this season.

Romano is usually pretty reliable so could be something in it... even if it doesn't come off it's at least positive that we seem to be making some early moves I.e Lerma and Clarke.

cant comment on how reliable the source is, but as we currently dont have a manager for next season, why would we buy him, or are we the poundland version of chelsea??

Clarke is an outstanding player, and i think the number one target to replace Wilf, class

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

He has been deployed out on the left where he cuts in on to his favoured right foot. Can go left or right when attacking opponents in 1 v 1 situations.
He has got fast feet but can be knocked off the ball quite easily when he doesn't beat the full-back.

Yup...Terrific replacement if Wilf leaves.....right age too..would be a great fit...

Didn't we buy Olise and Guehi also without a manager?

That's the Palace way nowadays. Freedman and Parish buy (or loan) the players and the manager leaves them out as he doesn't fancy them with Roy being the worst culprit

And none have gone on to prove him wrong

The fact that he has so many assists is encouraging. As much as I bash our strikers, they haven't always had the best service so I can imagine this lad and Olise on the wings could be outstanding.

Ideal scenario we get him and keep Zaha too, seeing as Wilf is getting on a bit and has picked up a few injuries recently.

Another alternative would be Callum Hudson-Odoi who is apparently available for less than £10m from Chelsea. Still 22 and feel as though if someone could get his career back on track he could be a bargain.

You've just agreed with me although I doubt whether that was your intention

Local boy as well. I'd deffo be up for this.

However he's played UCL this season. I suspect he'll see himself as a top 4 club player.

He might well do but he wouldn’t be a starter, so it would be a case of , “come and play for Palace”, or sit on the bench in a Euro squad.

If the club thought they could get Odoi, back on track, he might well be a worthwhile proposition. Still young yet quiet experienced ,if the right price range
As far as ,whether he would come to a club like ours, outside of him not trusting himself ,why not? We now have a number of players that have improved their future prospects with us, and Chelsea, have benefited significantly on two occasions, and Guehi, came to us from that club and look at the interest in him now

I suspect that attitude is his problem reeks of Dele Ali.
