My point being he can get same if not more cash without added risks/pressure . He doesn't need the Palace job and in my opinion won't take it .Even if has been offered it ? Which is debatable?

Would be better at Palace than at Leeds or Leicester. But if Celtic come calling that might be the move he goes for. Guaranteed titles and a chance to refine his approach to managing a "big" team in Europe. To be fair to him, in the Champions League his Chelsea record was decent, and his only other season in European football with Ostersund was exceptional (took them to knock-outs with an aggregate defeat to Arsenal, beating them at the Emirates).

The Brighton connection won’t mean anything to most fans either, unlike say Mullery or Poyet, Potter was/is a likeable bloke despite being their manager. Although 6 or so defeats on the trot if he takes over I might change my mind

If you rewind 2 years and asked me would you take Potter at the Palace IF he could be lured away from Brighton- I’d have said yes in a heartbeat. It’s a funny old game!

Would take Potter without hesitation. But I suspect he'll get a bigger job than Palace.

This decision for me hinges on how the recruitment compares to previous successes, and failures for that matter. Plus player profiles and egos used to.

Can only assume the silence coming out of the club means that we're conducting an interview process? Would have thought if we were going to just keep Roy on it might have been sorted by now. Either way the domestic transfer window open in 2 days so I hope we pull our finger out, big summer ahead.

I was thinking appointment of a manager may affect the player’s decision to stay or new recruit signing a contract So yes would have hoped manager contract would be sorted.Being it resign Roy ( like Warnock has done at Hudders) or as Potter has been on Holiday for a while the owners would have had meetings even before end of season. Arh well

I think that the club may already know who the manager is but perhaps can't announce it yet.
