A prime example of people being more offended by what is shouted in the stands is . When we were playing Hull City and we had to win to guarantee us survival, Wilf was turning Harry Maguire inside out when he went down clutching his ankle . I shouted out " Get up you fvcking Pansy " which to me is a delicate flower . A steward came over to me and said to take it easy on the homophobic language. I was totaly gobsmacked, and the steward shadowd me for the rest of the match. God help us if we ever have a war .

How much empathy can you afford for someone who got called a rude name? We really have regressed as a society when we take insults so seriously. It's a playground mentality, which is not very British.

I almost considered making a racism complaint against Dulux paints for their 'off white' colours because I want an 'off person of colour' range. Frigging gonna peel soon. I've been Tangoed. Trevor Phillips speaking sense as usual. He makes the point that the energy invested in slave reparations would be better spent trying to reduce knife crime. I made a similar point a while back. We have an army of academics in this country paid for by the taxpayer who seem only to focus on the racial issues of the past. Why? Because it's a darn sight easier to point the finger at historic wrongs than to have uncomfortable conversations about the present black crime and educational / aspirational failures. Ironically Trevor is a minority within his own community. I have spoken to black friends about the current problems and whilst I suspect that many agree with Trevor very few are prepared to say so publicly so allowing the "it's all about racist Britain" a free ride.

This is not Palace Talk any more - it's morphed into politics and football is what matters on Palace Talk imho.

I shall be contacting the Italian government very soon to claim my free money for the terrible treatment of my ancestors by the Romans. And they won't fob me off by taking down a couple of statues of Julius Caesar either.
