I enjoyed the goal Iain Dowie scored against Wolves in the FA cUP IN 1995 when he contrlled it on his face and slammed it in the corner. Same game Chris Armstrong scored a beauty which nestled in the stantchion...ah stanchions....
The Queen supports Crystal Palace. Perhaps she'll buy the club then legitimately all the money in England shall be ours. Plus all the swans. |

The foriegn fella against Leicester, 35 yard screamer, Salad from a mile out against Forest in the mist many moons ago (delight for us 27 travelling fans), Clive Allen's goal against Coventry (?), Dave Swindlehurst against Ipswich (1979), Chris Armstrong's run and screamer against Wolves a few years ago. that southgate goal is probably my favourite palace goal ever, but i didnt actually see that live... i remember a goal AJ scored away at walsall a few years ago, we were 2-0 down within 4 minutes, but it got better when we a) won 4-3, and b) AJ scored a goal from what seemed at the time to be an angle you couldnt score from. awesome finish. another notable goal i remember was a tommy black long range lob, home against pompey under francis i think.

Marco Reich's goal against QPR in the league cup was amazing but i watched that on TV so I'll go for Hughes' (or Soares can't remember) goal against Stoke in the 6-3 win when i think it must have been Soares picked up the ball around half way and ran past about 5 stoke players bursting into the area just about keeping the ball on the pitch and crossing it for Hughes to tap in. I mighhta got the players mixed up as i can't remember it exactly right.

I haven't read the entire thread but assume that Don Rogers goal v Man U has the vast majority of votes?

Think Hopkins' in the playoff final takes some beating, obviously helped massively by the occasion and significance. I was behind that goal and the angle the ball was struck at was right at us. Magic that was!

Magic that was! Agree 100%. I was inline with the edge of the 18yd box, sat with the players family and staff. The goal seemed to be in slow motion, and all i remember was (what seemed like) being the first person in the stadium to realise it was going in, and jumped into the air, and then grabbing hold of my auntie (who was Steve Coppells secratary) and my mum and going mental. Then my seat which was old and made of wood, smashed into 100 pieces!
