On reflection I think perhaps you are right about 'not leaking' while you are actually a part of the NSC. He should have resigned and then leaked.......When the government are operating in what you regard as against the national interest.....you shouldn't be a party to that. Mind you, resigning and then the leak happening makes it pretty obvious.

Presumably it is a criminal offence, in which case he could defend himself? A very unconvincing letter from May.

If May has the proof they will say her cabinet has gone rogue which is true as collective responsibility has broken down over Brexit. If it is just suspicions then they will have a field day in pointing out yet another error in her judgement. Either way it's another mess from this hopeless government.
