Talk of Freedman stalking him for years. That seems quite a common theme. If he really has been hiding in the hedges with his notebook for so long you would hope that Dougie is convinced of his abilities to step up. We're surely a better bet than Bournemouth given their precarious position. Bournemouth have a new owner, Bill Foley. Edited by Willo (25 Jan 2023 1.03pm)

It's a sign of our self-awareness that a club firing blanks (in the transfer market) is interested in bringing in semen(yo). It could only be Palace.

Apparently he has two or three clubs want him, if true , and we have ever been that keen on him, it rather looks like we have spent to long looking. What’s new?

4 goals and 2 assists in his last 5 games, dont miss out. The Birmingham one went in off his stomach and the Swansea and Birmingham ones are woeful, woeful goalkeeping that you'd never get in the Premier League. The standard of goalkeeping we face is night and day. I'm yet to see the evidence that this guy's finishing could cut it at Premier League level.

I think Semenyo could be a decent player for us. I think he’s very much suited to a counter attack style of play, or if you like, a team that looks to transition at pace. I also feel as though we need a no.9 but I also doubt whether a no.9 at Palace would thrive. They don’t seem to suit our style of play. I do think we need more players that are a goal threat from crosses…but that can come from better defenders and midfielders I guess. Doesn’t always have to be a striker. Outside of our centre backs, who is a genuine threat from corners?
