Labour's inability to present policies that the electors could vote for is the problem. The gap that was not managed has been what goes down well with the membership and what a voter will put their X against.

You have to feel sorry for them. It was all going so well on the day votes were pouring in for Labour and they thought they would win. Unfortunately for them around 5pm everybody who worked started to vote.

My son was in a hospital wanting to isolate a breaker on a distribution board.
Six people (seniorish) later.
The person who could make the decision was off for the day.
Absolutely ludicrous.
I'm sure this is probably typical of all aspects of the public sector.
Including on the health side.
Jobs for the boys back in the 90s by labour.

Interesting break down of voting patterns in the Times today. Based on socio-economic group, the Torys won the majority of the vote at every level. Tory, SNP, Green vote went up by 1%. Lib Dem up by 4%, Labour went down by 8%. Obviously, 1% increase for The tories represents a lot more votes cast than the SNP and green got. Seems like the Lib Dem vote also played a big part in splitting the Labour vote, but that isn't shown in the number of seats they won. It's still proving difficult to drum home to the hard left just how bad this defeat is.

Interesting break down of voting patterns in the Times today.

Based on socio-economic group, the Torys won the majority of the vote at every level.

Tory, SNP, Green vote went up by 1%. Lib Dem up by 4%, Labour went down by 8%.
