'We're the left side we're the left side we're the left side over 'ere" Cue the right side singing their very similar line. Would go on for ages The AW terrace massive in the 80's and away matches..,

I remember one game in the 70s can not remember who we was playing but at the time we was all Whitehorse lads. This particular game the old bill decided to turf us out and take us up the Holmesdale. when we got in the Holmesdale we started chanting Were the Whitehorse were the whitehorse , the Holmesdale lads started chanting were the Holmesdale so on and we started to have a bit of a mock ruck between each other. The old bill by now were begining to wish they had left us in the Whitehorse end ! It ended up they were getting hold of geezers and having to ask them are you whitehorse or Holmesdale ? depending on the reply they would say then keep on the right ( or left ) hand side then !!

Quote elgrande at 07 May 2013 7.30pm Yea i am sure we would at least know each other by face elgrande if not by name. As i remember it in them days ( although my memory is getting a bit hazy and not to good on names ) there was a hardcore of us whitehorse lads of about 50-70 geezers although this could easy swell to 150-200 for a big game. It was not made up of one firm or manor but geezers from all over. As far as i remember though Pat Towers and his mates were holmesdale lads. Quite a few of the willton were whitehorse Bobby Kennett Gonzo and that.
There was also quite a few new addinton est geezers like Steve Rolf, Sydenham geezers like Roy Stocks , croydon geezers like Tufty Ellis Paul Saul Monty Bermondsey geezers like Paddy and his brother South Norwood lads like Stan the Mann Kevin Parcel . I also remember a geezer from up your way ( Bedford ) called Denny from Stevenage. Sorry if some of these names are a bit wrong and as write this i realise to many to mention but like i say my memories are a bit hazy it was such a long time ago !
