We have an excess of players but we do not have an abundance of quality. Last year's bad run had a lot to do with a lack of strength in depth in the squad.

The Niasse deal isn't that bad because we get another striker for free for a season and if we put him on the squad for most cup games and when wickham gets injured, it's not a bad deal.
