Here's a fact. I'll leave you to decide how interesting it is!

Across the last 5 fixtures, the 5 clubs at the bottom (Leeds, Forest, Leicester, Everton, Southampton) have picked up just 14 points between them.

Here’s another fact , Roy Hodgson as Crystal Palace manager has never lost to a team in the relegation zone

Roy Hodgson is a class act,the exact opposite of our previous manager,a struggling PV,who was so clearly out of his depth and quite bereft of any strategies to arrest our disastrous slide towards almost certain relegation.

Luckily Roy's management is better than your French!

Not that I'm saying Vieira would have arrested the decline, but he got the same number of points from the reverse fixtures of the games Roy has managed so far (13 points). Just saying. The Fulham and Spurs games might be a better reflection of how much we've improved. If Roy had given better teams the space we gave to Saints or Leeds, or defended as badly as we did yesterday I wonder if we'd have won more points. Btw, I do think the managerial change was made at the right time, I'm just pointing out that so far Roy hasn't actually won any more points than PV did in the same fixtures.

Leeds’ relegation credentials are improving by the game.

I, for one, am ecstatic. Both them and Everton, I’m guessing with Southampton, will be glorious.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Very true but there the similarity ends. We did the double over Leeds, Southampton and West Ham. The difference between the PV and RH games lies in the performances and the goals scored.

Likewise a comparison of the defeats are chalk and cheese, a decent performance in an unlucky defeat against Wolves last week versus an abject capitulation against Everton. The comparison of the two draws doesn't favour PV either - a timid defensive performance at Leicester versus a dominating albeit frustrating one at home to Everton.

I agree to an extent, but my point was that so far Roy has won games you'd expect us to have a good chance of winning against teams who have been poor. We struggled to create much against Wolves and Everton despite some nice football in patches. Brighton put six past Wolves while Everton's away record is rubbish. I've loved the new Roy reign, I'm just highlighting that Roy has been lucky to walk in during this run of fixtures. Can anyone honestly say any of the teams we have played so far have played well? It makes for a fun end to the season and hopefully it continues in our remaining games.

These forums regularly highlight how wrong we all are about everything on a regular basis. A few months ago there were people saying Eze is a league one player and Olise isn't good enough. Those people have gone very quiet now. I remember when people said Wilf wasn't good enough and that we should sell him for 15m. I remember me and many others defending Benteke even when his mother had given up on him. I think I backed Pardew longer than most as well. I don't think PV would have had the team playing as well as they have been, but I do think the teams we have played have been so poor we still would have been safe. I'm big enough to admit I was wrong and that Roy was a good move.

but west ham London stadium makes it easier for Palace to sign players,
