Just heard a Pardew interview snippet where he said that none of the rumoured transfers linked with Palace in the media are real and none have been contacted at all by the club.

If he came to us, how long do you think it would take for him to get match fit, bearing in mind that he hasn't played a competitive game for a long time and has not done any first-team training for a long time. I read that link. I don't believe that anyone is really naive enough to think that 'keeping himself fit' training one-on-one with a personal trainer and the odd charity football match is anything close to training with a PL first team squad and competitive football at the highest level. That just means he's not starting from 0, but he has a bloody long way to go to get to 100%. Look how long it's taken CW to even start looking Premier League class? And that's with training at PL level. And Adebayor is even further behind him. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a fit and in form Adebayor scoring goals for Palace, on his day he was unplayable, but I don't think he's going to do that based on everything that's been said. Spot on. This concerns me as well. Seem to remember a striker we got as a free agent in the Championship who had previously played for Pompey I think. Forgotten his name as I think he never played for us due to his fitness !! First sign of proper training and it was clear he was way of the mark.

I've made exactly this point now several pages ago but only just found out that if you read some of the various links that have been posted you will see he has actually only hired a personal trainer in the last month.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

I've heard done deal too. He's been seen getting a tour of the palace gym and bets suspended on him joining. Be a decent short term option a step up from current strikers despite his obvious lack of moral fibre.
