I imagine that most of us would have taken 6 points from the 12 on offer.

This game was poor. First time I saw Eze. Looked good. Seems odd to say, but Schlupp gives us an edge. Actual pace in midfield and great left footed cover. Hope he's back soon.

Perspective. We shipped four today, but we are arguably missing our first choice defence (only Kouyate has staked a really good claim).

Time for an international rest and hopefully at least one of Cahill and Tomkins will be back. Perhaps Ferguson and Van Aanholt fit by November if we're lucky. Integrate Michy into the set up and maybe nick someone surprising on deadline day (Ruben anyone?).

Remember, 6 from 12 available.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

I keep saying it, but I'll say it again...we need a creative central midfielder. MacArthur and McCarthy do a good job, but they haven't got an ounce of creativity between them. On the rare occasions we got the ball today we just kept passing it sideways and backwards nobody had any idea how to play a killer pass. We're still relying far too much on zaha to do some magic to win us games.

I agree.

I have had a theory for some time now that we have and will continue to struggle to score goals as we neither create anything through the middle nor deliver crosses from out wide, kinda 2 of the staple attacking strategies.

It’s not to excuse Bentwke, he has been very poor but he hardly misses 3 one on ones and 4 sitter headers each game. We almost rely on fortune sometimes for goalscoring opportunities.. and got no luck today.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Just like last season.

A game we did not really try to win.

Sakho has to go and we have to sign some creativity in the central midfield as well as a striker. We also have a problem with injury prone centre halves, so another one of those would be good.

In the end, Chelsea were far too good for us but when you create nothing you won't beat anyone. Same against Everton second half and will be the same everytime we play good sides unless we spend some more money.

If he lives in Penzance and actually travels to Palace he deserves a medal for his effort.

We ALL deserve medals for our fortitude.

No I can't get to matches these days except when we played Plymouth. However seeing as my first Palace game was in 1946 and followed them ever since and holding a season ticket for about thirty years I don't need any lectures from the Peckham so called Palace Supporter.

Tekkers 6 goals 3 years, Sakho have we ever had a full solid season. Our 2 biggest purchases, on huge wages .. have cost the club what ? 80 mill combined for almost zero return in the past 3 years, pay them off a get rid for once and for all.

We need a MIDFIELDER urgently.

Just look how Rodriguez has improved Everton and what Ruben Loftus Cheek could do for us.

He is supposed to be available on loan

Think benteke would have done better than ayew today, who has looked pants so far this season. We were crying out for someone to hold the ball up today and cant believe benteke stayed on the bench for 90 mins

I guess we have to remember that Chelski spent £200m and we have spent £20m and that shows. The PL is not a level playing field. But it also shows we need to get busy again before 16 October? Am sure that SP et al know that

We came out second half like we couldn’t be arsed.

Why can’t we go at Chelski with purpose and show some intent.

It’s all well and good being compact and hard to beat but we’ve got to offer more than that.

We really need SO much more movement and effort from Wilf. He was very poor today and shouldn’t be beyond being hooked off if he’s as poor as he was today.

CB would have been worth a change of approach when we went a goal down. But we know Roy won’t change things until 70 minutes plus. That’s a weekend ruined!

You can’t loan 2 players from the same club.....that’s the rules.
