Songs of Praise and Last of the Summer Wine nearly 100 years ago. Used to get knots in my stomach on a Sunday evening as I knew I hadn't done my homework for Monday. Sad things is, both programmes are still going, still forming the mainstay of Sunday television for Licence-paying viewers. More TV that should have died out with flared trousers and kipper ties. Songs of Praise and Last of the Summer Wine nearly 100 years ago. Used to get knots in my stomach on a Sunday evening as I knew I hadn't done my homework for Monday.
Sad things is, both programmes are still going, still forming the mainstay of Sunday television for Licence-paying viewers. More TV that should have died out with flared trousers and kipper ties.

I used to love all those Irwin Allen shows when I was a kid.

I started off with Lost In Space, then Voyage To the Bottom of the Sea, Time Tunnel and then Land of the Giants came a little later I think.
All of them were totally daft, but great escapism when you were in junior school.

Aint that the truth. I hated Sunday evening for that reason even though I normally spent 5 hours on a Sunday doing my homework. Never enough time.

I used to watch 'Til death us do part' on a regular basis. Warren Mitchell, a W.Ham supporter in the programme, was actually a supporter of Tottenham.

Or that when I retuned to the same Bat channel at the same Bat time next week the perilous situation the caped crusader had been in had changed so escape was a piece of Bat pi**.
