A lot of young men came to this country from African countries torn apart by civil war. Some of them may have been boy soldiers, some of them may have been victims and some may have witnessed all sorts of atrocities. No, it’s people from s*** cultures where life is cheap and disputes are routinely sorted out with brutality and violence. The kind of culture we left behind a long time ago. The fact that they don’t integrate (integration is now racist remember) and are coming in numbers that makes that almost impossible means that it doesn’t matter if they are 1st generation or 3rd. This is a tragedy for society and for the families of those involved. It makes me sad that it’s happening in the city I called home for nearly 60 years. Ask yourself which areas of London you would be reluctant to walk around and why. There has always been poverty but not the horrendous murder rate we’re seeing.

Firstly I don’t think either of us is trying to attribute blame. This is a tragedy for society and for the families of those involved. It makes me sad that it’s happening in the city I called home for nearly 60 years.
Ask yourself which areas of London you would be reluctant to walk around and why. There has always been poverty but not the horrendous murder rate we’re seeing.

There's probably a lot to be said for crunching carrots in Cornwall. Ignorance is bliss.

When was the last time you had a walk around the East End ? Somali gangs are running riot. Muslim gangs are attacking pub-goers because they don't agree with drinking alcohol. Eastern Europeans are running protection rackets.

A lot of these immigrants are here illegally and are coming through the EU due to freedom of movement, and according to recent reports, many are being given a helping hand by the French authorities as they want them off of their hands.

Trying to find a way to put a spanner in the works and stop this wheel turning is urgently needed and far beyond any tribal politics. I don't have the answer but I truly hope someone else does. Dealing with illegal immigration is obviously a big problem but I cannot see why ending freedom of movement will help with that as we already have border controls which check everyone. Except the illegals.
