Apparently the parrot is also fairly wealthy and has been heavily backing the transfer at the bookies which could explain the odds.

Other clubs are finding it increasingly difficult to bring in their targets and are apparently refusing to release a player until a replacement is signed.

We bucked the trend in releasing two strikers and selling Gayle,probably thinking we would bring in Beneke relatively easily.

Negotiations would appear to be far from straight forward and with a shortage of available quality ,it would be a fantastic bit of business for the club if we can get him over the line very soon.
