He's reputed to have been training with Ajax. So really have no qualms about his fitness (apart from, that is, match fitness). If it's a pay as you play deal; and is willing to fit into the club's wage structure, then it's a no-brainer, really. A chance to have a player who has done it, seen it, and worn the t-shirt. He would bring more revenue to the club and he's influence around the place would be positive (especially for young players such as Garvan, who would learn a lot from a guy of his quality).

With the communications system we have in place now it's virtually impossible to stop such stories finding their way into the public arena.
However,I don't thinks it's likely to be a bidding war with the likes of Warnock as I reckon it's probably be a one off situation.

have'nt read all of the previous post so don't know if anybody else has the same same thoughts as me but this has the smell of Thomas Brolin scenario to me. The only contract he should be offered (if any) is a stickt pay as you play deal. Not keen myself
