If only he'd had an SA-80, he'd likely have shot himself, due to the frustration of working out how to switch the magazine.

Firstly clearly you have moved on from Brasso, and your morning tipple is now paint stripper.

Secondly David Icke ? it has already been mentioned that he paid his girlfriend 0,000 a week prior to the shooting, it's not a massive leap of faith to think that was a payment he'd received, for what ? and why not leave it to her in a will ?

Thirdly it is my job to know stuff about small arms, the only weapon you've played with is your own

They are saying he was a multi-millionaire property investor. If so, I doubt cash would be the motive.

Curioser and curioser

I'm guessing he really hated country and western music or associated it to some existential disaster.

Well, since the end of the seventies....it's been like some kind of sonic pain fetish for musical Oompa-Loompas.

The logic to me, would appear to be, guns aren't the problem people are. The logical solution, to prevent people owning guns, without strict regulation (such as seen in the UK). Its notable that both Japan and Canada have surprisingly lack gun rules and not the same problems as the US.

And I think its probably true, the people are the problem, both the politicians, the advocates and the general gun owners.

It is curious that some countries are awash with guns and yet have a low murder rate. Then again in America often guns are deemed as a symbol of power, rather than one of self defense, which explains why a ludicrous number of people have 10+ and don't think twice about it. It's a nation that gets its way through might and that filters through to the mindset of the populous.

For those of you querying whether he was really acting alone what do people think the motive could be?

The very idea from them that removing or tightening their 'right to bear arms' is almost akin to a breach of their fundamental human rights is quite repulsive really .

Yep, it's the lesser path but it's cultural.

The country is so polarised already that I don't see anyone touching this one till all of us are long gone.

And conkers.

Nah, the conspiracy stuff doesn't seem quite right. He seemed to be pretty well off and was a bit of a big gambler apparantly. Maybe he had some major losses or maybe he was just a fvckwit who did it because he could. Also, it's not as though the US is not prone to mass shootings anyway.
