People are being a bit hard on Willo. He makes a very valid point about "rebuilding" being the theme of the close season yet we only had one new face in the starting line-up. Obviously there are a number of reasons for this, but it's a fact nonetheless. Furthermore his comment about the relegation zone was clearly made in jest. He even added an emoji to assist with the interpretation!

1) Full backs not good enough. Mitchell isn’t the answer at LB. 2) Missed Luka today. We were too nice and gave them too much respect. Luka would’ve at least kicked them up in the air once or twice. 3) Benteke should’ve started. We all know that. 4) This will take time.

haven't read all this thread…cant be arsed, however… chelsea are currently the best team in europe & since tuchel came in the form team in the PL. that game went exactly the same way as the last tonking we got from them, even with our full strength team we would be onto a hiding to nothing when they play like that…we cant hold out against wave after wave of attack, no team can. am i disappointed by the result, yes…however our season wont be defined by these 1st handful of very hard games. the only think i can question is bentekkers not starting as he adds more from a defensive & hold up play POV…however we wouldav lost anyway so its a moot point.
