Since the 11th December sterling has risen 7%
On the euro and has an upward trend. That should help pay the apparent 10% tariff's.

Thought I would help with some facts;

In some areas close to the UK (such as Ireland, France, Denmark, Belgium and Holland) it is possible to receive Radio 4 on 198 kHz long wave.

There are plenty of internet radio apps try Tunein I have always found that a good one covers all of the major players in the UK and elsewhere.

Good because two weeks after we are due to skip out of the EU I'm off to the Canaries so a rise of 7% will cover an extra restaurant meal for us

Don't need a visa but I may need an International Driving Licence and I fully expect that we will be warmly received in every restaurant that we spend our money in

I guess the reason is that since then, chance of no-deal has weakened? It struggled between Mid Dec and Mid Jan and start bouncing back after May`s defeat which unofficially give the control to parliament and weakened her to use no-deal as a weapon.

I guess the point I was making was currencies fluctuate by 10% and more all the time and buisness adapt and survive. I'm really struggling with the "falling off a cliff analogy"

In a long term that`s true.Like injuring some part of your body after a time body will recover and not all injuries end with death. And any deal (including no deal and staying in EU) is not a death from all aspects (financial, social etc)

However, finance usually treats `uncertainty` as `falling of a cliff analogy` and reacts and this is how some people make money while others loose
