Caucasian is a term which has slipped into use, particularly in the USA as a means of avoiding using "white" in much the same way as American American has for "black". It's lazy, inaccurate, potentially divisive and resisted by anthropologists who use your 2. which is indeed correct.

"White race" is the term I am interested in where you think it is defined. I believe it is another inaccurate term which has slipped into use in the USA. It is not found in either the OED or Websters, in my opinion for good reasons but it is in Collins, which is not an encyclopedia I reference regularly. Even they though condition their definition with "Loosely" and define it as "the Caucasoid group of mankind".

Caucasoid is itself defined as "denoting, relating to, or belonging to the lighter-complexioned supposed racial group of humankind, which includes the peoples indigenous to Europe, N Africa, SW Asia, and the Indian subcontinent and their descendants in other parts of the world."

Lighter-complexioned does not equal white. Nor does all of those various regions provide one homogeneous
racial stereotype. Note the use of "supposed" in your choice of dictionary.

No, I communicated with you.....it's just a waste of time. There's nothing of worth that you have to say to me. From what I can tell I pretty much oppose most of what you state....you waffle, make doubtful statements and don't read replies.

I won't miss you at all. You are exactly the kind of political animal that I believe is doing so much damage to the UK, it's people and it's future.

I am implacably opposed to the direction of travel that you, and your kind, want to take us both here and in the USA.

My hope is that it is a temporary phenomenon and that the minority that you are part of have simply become more confident and emboldened by Trump's election. I trust that once he has disappeared into the oblivion he so richly deserves your views will follow, and the trend I have witnessed over my lifetime towards a more tolerant, inclusive society can resume it's evolutionary path.

In the meantime don't expect me not to read your contributions. I will when they involve a subject I have an interest in and I will comment whenever I feel it is needed.
