Yes i am saying that the european human rights act and european law that was the cornerstone of the good friday agreement, but it was the people and leaders of NI who were responsible for the peace

Proserity - average household being £4,300 pa better off, opportunity to live and work abroad (and be covered for healthcare), millions of uk jobs, the uk economy being better off interms of tax receipts and public services etc..i could ofcourse go on but no real need for me to say anymore either

So in real terms now, not £4,300. And it's calculated using assumptions of assumptions, ignoring the fact that since 2008 our EU exports fell below 50% and is now at 45% and if we leave and that trend continues and we exploit the potential of exports outside of the EU, that formula used to get to the £4,300 they wanted, is absolute tosh.

But it wasnt the worst case scenario apparently, the assumptions could have been worse but either way we aint gonna get a better deal than we have at the moment - although the out campaign seem convinced they will get free trade plus

No one can actually predict with any certainty the economic effect of leaving the EU. At best it is a better the devil you know argument.

The 2012 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the European Union "for over six decades having contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe". Totally right and totally deserved.

On the subject of questionable award-winners, Tony Blair was nominated (by a Norwegian right wing politician as it happens) for the Nobel peace prize. He didnt win that one, but did get a 'Global legacy' prize from Save the Children.
