The performance was worse than the loss today.

Big up the Palace!!!!

Be nice if the squad had a whip round and compensated the fans for that embarrassing performance.

Well done Sheff Utd.

There’s a thread on here ‘3 worse teams ‘ I still think there are over 38 games, but there won’t be a worse performance that that sh*t we watched today.

Zaha complete waste of space, needs to be dropped in place of Ayew, who at least tries.
The Zaha summer fiasco has had a damaging effect on the club, which will hang over the club until he goes.

Total garbage. I think this is worst than when we lost to Huddersfield 0-3 at home 2 years ago. Beaten by what is essentially a Championship side, well done boys!

I don’t post on forums. But after that I will make an exception. Truly awful

Absolutely awful. Our players are not coached properly.

Look at Norwich and Sheffield United, when a player has a ball, the rest of the team are making good runs forward, providing options and creating overlaps. We didn't do that once today, completely clueless going forward. Playing McCarthur and Luka in a narrow midfield always meant it would be difficult to get the ball out wide, we had nobody dropping in between the lines to give people options and no one to carry the ball through midfield.

And we still might lose Wilf.

Better team won today but they are nothing special and the fact we struggled against them so much is truly worrying.

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.

Our spirit has clearly evaporated.
I dare say what has happened in the Summer plays a big part in this.
Bats gone, Wan gone, Wilf gone in spirit.
No new forwards.
Things are not looking good at all.

What we saw today was to a large extent what most of us feared after the haphazard recruitment over the summer. The only surprising thing is that Parish and Co. didn't apparently seem to see it.

Beyond poor, major rethink needed with the team, midfield needs a complete change if that’s the best they can do.

BelfastEagle Flag 18 Aug 19 4.02pm

Predictable...we wouldn’t score, wilf can’t be bothered and the new players we did sign are not fit enough yet to play.

Perhaps Roy has now decided he doesn’t need the stress and is taking the piss...he told them what he needed player wise and they gave him absolutely nothing.

To sum this up : gutless, slow, lacklustre, lack of ambition, lack of desire, unimaginative, depressing shower of s***.

Not sure what Roy does in training every week but the passing is horrid, the free kicks are terrible, this back passing negative crap is infuriating, Benteke is a complete waste of space.

Another positive from today , is we know how it is to play without Zaha.

The only upside is we actually played better without Zaha last week and Ayew looked dangerous. So he sits out the whole match and we are left with the statue and the body builder. Not a clue. The one player we buy who should be creative is not even in the squad so I’m guessing we managed to injure him in training. You literally couldn’t make it up. Total sh1t show.

Why the f*** would the opposition need to score more than 1 when we have f*** all going forward? No threat after they scored, got mugged off giving away throws and free kicks, strolled around like we were ahead.

Absolutely shocking, every player was crap, tactics shocking, substitutions dire, god is it going to be a long year.
