Well PV said that Hughes would not be in the squad for Saturdays match at West Ham at the press conference when asked.
So subject to passing his medical that's about as close to a definite yes as you can get!!

Correct Vieira confirmed Hughes is having his medical today. He likes that he's comfortable on the ball and is good at linking with the play going forward.

I have my reservations on Hughes personally but Vieira knows a thing or two about midfielders so trust his judgement.

Also I got the sense that Hughes would play more like a Jorginho style role for us.

Vieira is saying he is glad to have Hughes, but nowhere on BBC or Sky sports does it say he has signed and nothing has been on here since 2 oclock notheng either from the club

He was due to have his medical yesterday. After that there would undoubtedly be the photo shoot etc. and the club like to choose the timing of all transfer announcements - Sunday has been a popular day during this window for announcing new players and staff.

It's probably a bit easier when you just send the private jet and offer 500k a week.
