Hi all, looking for some advice. I am keen to acquire an android streaming box for my dad so he can jack in his extortionate sky subscription. I personally run kodi on my amazon firestick, and know it can be a right palava to get the latest build and find good streams, and imagine I'd end up round his regularly to reinstall stuff which I don't have either the patience or time to do! On Ebay I've seen that a number of sellers claim to sell fully loaded boxes with that auto-update. Does anyone know if these auto-updates work and are these ones user friendly for an older gent? If anyone could recommend an ebay listing/seller that sells a reputable box/build with autoupdates that work that would be appreciated! Edited by cols123 (28 Nov 2016 7.49pm)

Kodi as updated to 17. Anyone having problems. There's a couple of things you can do to keep your favourite build up and running if they haven't updated to 17
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

Kodi has updated to 17 and most builds currently have not been updated. I use an Android box and downloaded an app called Spmc from the play store which is basically Kodi 16.1. Alternatively you could delete 17 and download 16.1apk room kodi website.

Anybody know how to get kodi back up and running on a firestick? There is no ARM APK file on the web or when you follow the instructions when you...... ....Open ES File Explorer, select Favorite and then Add. Enter "http://kodi.tv/download", hit Next, the text you’ve entered will disappear but don’t worry, now type ‘Kodi’ into the next box and press Next again, then select Add. I don't think I can do it the Android phone way. I have an iPhone. This is the link I was using. [Link]

I was watching on SportsMania. Does anyone know who the commentators were?? The ex-player was positively w*****g to Hazard first half, then he had the brass balls to say that he was a neutral. Throbbing k**b!!

I found another site which uses downloader to install kodi onto the Firestick without it being blocked. I'm out on mobile now but I've bookmarked it on my PC so if anybody needs the link, reply here or PM me if I don't see your post.
