Of course the Anti-JRM faction will peddle this as part of their agenda.

As for the 'Traditional Britain Group' he made it abundantly clear that he was shocked by what he had heard so it was hardly an endorsement of the comments presented to him.

At the end of the day JRM has NOT been charged of any wrongdoing. I repeat, he really is an erudite luminary who can talk with authority on a whole array of subjects. He is also very engaging company.

Anyway this is a 'Theresa May' thread.Let's NOT turn this into a JRM thread.

Boris is also very very clever. Very knowledgeable about the classics (not horseracing, that's the queen, who Boris would like to be one day)
But he's a shockingly s***e politician.

Hey that's my line about Boris and the Classics!!

He's basically what is known as good example of 'posh tw*t, someone likable, but so divorced from the lives of people that they endlessly create the problems for themselves'.

I'm not sure how erudite someone is, for not getting their assistants and flunkies to verify who'll they're giving a speech to.

I suspect its much more about 'getting paid' than what he believes in though. You can't say, well I thought they were a bit racist, but the fee was pretty good, and I wanted to practice my public speaking etc.

Pay me 5k and I'll do an after dinner speech for the British National Party. They're c**ts, but 5k is 5k and a free dinner is a free dinner.

A terrorist sympathiser and an ideological halfwit actually.

You do know that the government is in a coalition with the DUP right? Makes any mudslinging on the "terrorist" front invalid. Unless of course, Corbyn is suggesting a coalition with e.g. Sinn Fein.

No.
That changes nothing.

Why not? The government is going into coalition with terrorists. Does that not matter?

They are not in a formal 'Coalition' with the DUP at all. There are no DUP ministers in Government. The DUP will support the Government in key votes in a "Supply and confidence" arrangement. The very DUP that 'Labour' tried to do a deal with after the 2010 election.

I think a billion or so from the money tree to give NI (that's what the NI contribution on my payslip is for I reckon) shows how desperate (or disparate) the Torys are.

What and you don't think your hero wouldn't have been propped up by the British troop murdering IRA if he had won enough seats.
And what would they have asked for, more get out of jail cards.

Small price to pay to keep the economically illiterate Corbyn and the marxist McDonnell out of 'No 10'.
